I have owned this vehicle since October last year, and have done over 10,000 miles in it. I bought it in Chicago, and travelled across Route 66 to Los Angeles. From there I took it up the west coast to Vancouver, and then back down to San Francisco, where it was stored for six months. Over the past two months I have driven across Nevada and Wyoming, down through Colorado, and back to LA via Utah, Arizona and Nevada again. During the year I have had it, the only jobs needed were the alternator and waterpump, and a fresh fanbelt.
There are a few things that need some attention. The major one is that it now needs six new tyres! These are pretty bad, and need replacing soon. That's why the price is $3,000, not $4,000!! he outlet pipe for the grey water tank is also broken, but isn't too much of a problem really. Other than that, the auxiliary battery system needs a bit of a look at - it works sometimes and not others. I am pretty sure it is just a loose connection at the fuse.
Check out the pictures below, and also the blog articles detailing my travels in this fantastic vehicle, and if you need further details, or want to come and take a look, give me a call on 646 215 1813. (Ian)
